About us
The Story of Cupid Flower Shop
Cupid Flower Shop started three years ago on Valentine's Day - not from a business plan, but from a personal moment.
My fiancée, who is also our main florist, wanted a large, elegantly wrapped bouquet for her birthday. We looked at several local florists, but while the flowers were beautiful, the overall effect didn't reflect the elegance she had envisioned. So she decided to make her own.
We sourced fresh flowers, imported premium packaging materials, and created a bouquet that was modern, clean, and thoughtful. When others saw it, they immediately wondered where it came from.
It all started with a single bouquet.
Why do we do it?
We believe that flowers are beautiful in their own right – but how they are presented determines how they are experienced.
In Hungary, traditional flower arranging often focuses primarily on the flower itself. We wanted to combine quality ingredients with modern, clean packaging and a balanced composition. Not to redefine the profession, but to offer an alternative style – one that is sophisticated but not over the top.
We don't claim to create perfect bouquets. We strive to ensure that each composition is thoughtful, harmonious, and carefully crafted.
Flowers carry emotion in themselves. Our job is to show this emotion clearly and elegantly.
How we work
We work in our Budapest studio, where we make every bouquet by hand.
We do not operate a traditional street florist. We have consciously chosen a studio-based model that allows us to focus on sourcing, preparation and delivery – without passing on unnecessary business costs to our customers.
We source the flowers separately for each confirmed order. The selected ingredients are conditioned in the studio, and then the arrangement takes place.
A small team, with a personal presence
We are not a large company – and that is a conscious decision.
Our main florist has been creating bouquets continuously for the past three years, developing her skills and style each season. She studied art in Hungarian high school, and art has been a defining part of her life ever since, continuing it throughout her university years.
As the founder, I personally handle the sourcing of flowers, customer communication, and delivery coordination. We are directly involved in every process, from market selection to delivery.
During peak periods, a small support team supports us in preparation and organizing delivery to ensure that every order is processed smoothly and responsibly.
We work in a structured way, even though we are small.
What sets us apart?
For us, it's not just the flower that matters, but the whole process.
We work with imported, special packaging materials that are rarely available on the domestic market, so our bouquets have a cleaner and more modern appearance. Since we operate in a studio model, we can focus on quality ingredients and transparent, fair pricing.
We do not sell through a marketplace or work through intermediaries. Orders are handled directly by the people who select, assemble, and ship the flowers. This ensures consistency and accountability for each bouquet.
Our goal is not to be the biggest, but to operate consciously and reliably.
Conscious development
After three years of continuous growth based on recommendations, we decided to make our work available online.
What started as a personal project has now become a serious commitment. We are constantly learning, evolving, and building.
Our goal is simple: to offer premium-looking bouquets at competitive prices, without compromising on quality.
And we want to do this in the long term, responsibly.
